For years, Keke Palmer has been open about her struggles with adult acne and the lengths to find a cure. The multi-talented actress, singer, and host is known for being candid about her appearance and sharing her journey with fans.
Keke Palmer Cosmetic Surgery and the Battle Against Adult Acne
In 2020, Palmer talked to the public about her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis and the adult acne that developed from the condition. Palmer said, "My acne was so bad that people who work with me offered to pay for me to get it fixed. I tried EVERYTHING." I was on Accutane not just once but twice. And even though people told me to drink more water and have a better diet, I did all that. I ate all the "right" things, and my blood tests were routine. But it wasn't until I took a closer look at my family's history with diabetes and obesity that I realized what was happening to me.
By 2022, Keke Palmer had taken to social media to search for solutions to her chronic skin issues. In the video, she playfully calls out plastic surgeons for not having the cure she was looking for when it came to her adult acne.
As Palmer said in the video, "Good morning, all of you. It's amazing what plastic surgeons can do these days. They can give you a boob job, install muscles- the list goes on. But they cannot figure out how to clear up somebody's skin. Are you kidding me?"
Keke Palmer stated that she is "tired" and "done" with adult acne making her skin look bad. Even after listing all of the advancements within the plastic surgery community, she was still surprised that they hadn't found a way to take skin from other parts of her body to put on her face.
She continued pleading for a solution in her Instagram caption, writing: "Give us the plastic surgery we're begging for. And make it possible for Black skin as well...I need the dual love." Palmer is saying that instead of making money off of quick fixes like "expensive facials," doctors should be concerned with helping treat acne in adult patients.
Even though Palmer kept her tone light in the video, she let viewers know that her offer was sincere. "I'll put my house on the market to pay, whatever it takes…."
Adult Acne Scars – Cosmetic Surgery Solutions
Not only can adult patients suffer from breakouts, but many also struggle with the aftermath of acne scars. This can lead to feelings of low self-esteem. While there are many solutions to treating adult acne, not all of them are available to the general public. These treatments can give your skin a more even appearance by reducing the look of acne scars or, in some cases, eliminating them.
The best course of acne scar treatment for a patient depends on the size, shape, and depth of their scars and their location on the body. There are several treatment options for acne scars, including dermabrasion, fillers, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, fat transfer, and injections of steroids. Acne scarring can occur at any age – it's not just something that affects teenagers. Adult acne scars are a source of insecurity for many people. If you're unhappy with your appearance and are looking for ways to improve the look of your scars, this article is for you.
The degree of improvement the patient will see is based on numerous acne factors: The treatment being performed, how long they've had acne, and other treatments they may have received in addition to this one. Some patients might require several procedures to arrive at their goals or preserve results from past treatment. The patient's compliance with the post-treatment instructions provided by the doctor will determine how long the effects last and if new acne breakouts form.
Keke Palmer may not be desperately seeking a solution for her acne scars, but she's still troubled by adult acne. Since she frequently appears on TV and movie screens, she must find a way to eliminate the problem since she is often in the public eye.
